Aquatics

Katy Aquatics includes Swimming & Diving and is a sport with a long season and a longer tradition. The 70 person team begins practicing before school starts, begins competitions in October and finishes the season with the State Meet in February.

Aquatics Meets

The meet season includes 12 dual meets as well as three large Invitationals before championships start in late January. There are three rounds of championships with the top six finishers in each event advancing from the district to the region meet. From there, the winner of each event, as well as the next 8 fastest swimmers from across the state advance to the State Meet held every year at UT Austin.

Katy has had district, region and state champions in both swimming and diving.
