Eyeballing a return to the playoffs

Katy Tiger Volleyball represents one of Texas’ most competitive districts at the 6A level, playing in Region III’s District 19. Season after season the Tigers are in the postseason mix, built on ball control, defense, and a culture that develops players through a strong feeder system. Recent years include deep runs to the Regional Finals in 2020 and 2021, a stretch that marked the program’s first back-to-back regional appearances and underscored how tough Katy is against Houston-area powers.

The results back it up. Katy posted 33-15 in 2019-2020 and 19-4 in 2020-2021 with strong district marks each year, reflecting the team’s consistency in a loaded field of opponents. Those campaigns helped set the tone for continued competitiveness in District 19-6A and reinforced the program’s reputation for smart, gritty volleyball that travels well in the playoffs.

Online, the team’s Facebook presence is a simple hub for fans – photos and updates that highlight match days, player spotlights, and the everyday heartbeat of the program. It’s a handy place for parents, alumni, and students to keep up with the Tigers and rally support as the season builds.
