There are few places in the world where a school, community and team seem to all become one. We are blessed to live in the United States in the Great State of Texas in the community of Katy and most of all to be TIGERS!
With the 35th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft the Cincinnati Bengals select Andy Dalton, Quarterback, TCU.
Andy had a great career at Katy leading us to the State Championship his senior year against Southlake Carroll. He then went on to rewrite not only TCU record books, but college football as well. 2 Time MWC Offensive Player of the year, Passing for over 10,000 yards, over 70 touchdowns, and over 40 victories as a starter the second most in college football history only behind Colt McCoy. 2007 Texas Bowl MVP, 2008 Poinsettia Bowl MVP and capped off his college career by helping to lead his team to a 21-19 Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin in 2011 and winning the MVP award as well. Be sure to tune in and watch another hard working Tiger succeed. Go Andy!
Coach Gary Joseph
Coach Gary Joseph will be leading the tigers into the 2011 season minus a few big play makers, but that is the norm at Katy. Each year they graduate a talented group of young men and the men who replace them seem to understand their job is to protect the tradition at Katy. They work not as hard as the players who left, but harder. It seems the target on Katy gets bigger each year and every team looks forward to the game against the Tigers as their chance to take on the best. Coach Joseph understands his boys have to work harder each year and I am glad to say the boys are up to the challenge and they look forward to the making their mark in history.
